The Ministry of Justice has launched public consultation

On 18 February 2025, the Ministry of Justice announced the launch of a public consultation and set the 4th of April 2025 as the deadline for the submissions of comments to its draft law inviting interested parties to submit their views to the Ministry by email.

On 11 April 2025, the Ministry of Justice submitted the draft law to the Republic’s Attorney General’s office for a legislative and technical oversight.

Once this is completed, the Ministry will submit the final draft to the Council of Ministers for approval.

Once this is completed, the Ministry will submit the final draft to the Council of Ministers for approval. Afterwards, the Council will submit the final draft to the House of Representatives where a discussion will begin at the Legal Affairs Committee – expected in September 2025 – before it is submitted to the Plenary for final approval.
