Defamation draft bill includes aspects of Anti-SLAPP Directive

On 2nd July, the Dáil Éireann (lower house of the parliament) passed the Defamation (Amendment) Bill 2024, which includes provisions that transpose aspects of the EU Anti-SLAPP Directive. The Bill is currently being debated in the Seanad Éireann (the senate).
